The Howe School and Howe Summer Camp welcome applications from all interested and qualified students throughout the school year.  Below, you will find application procedures for the school and summer camp. General Policies

The Howe School and Howe Summer Camp admits students to our school and camp programs without regard to ethnicity, national origin, religion, or gender. In considering applications, please note, having experienced summer camp can greatly benefit the enrollment process for a prospective student for school.

The Howe School Application Process

  1. First, interested families should contact the school for more specific information via telephone or by using our online Inquiry Form.

  2. Second, prospective families must contact the Admissions Office and schedule a campus visit (if applicable). A campus visit provides an opportunity to meet school staff and cadets (provided school is in session), a tour of our historic campus, an opportunity to take the entrance examination and be interviewed by Admissions Staff.
  3. Third, submit the completed application forms with $100 application fee. Deadlines vary for the High School (grades 9 – 12) and the Middle School (grades 7 & 8). Contact the Admissions Office for enrollment dates.
  4. Fourth, the Admissions Committee reviews the completed application forms to determine acceptance for enrollment.
  5. When prospective cadets are approved for admission to the school, they must submit a completed physical examination and immunization records prior to enrollment. Indiana State Law mandates that students cannot register for school without a physical, completed by a physician, and an updated immunization record. Part of the physical requires students to have their vision, hearing and teeth checked plus tested for tuberculosis.
